Antiques range
from as early as the 1600’s to the end of the 1800’s. Pieces tend to be
casual mostly sourced from the Lombardian countryside. Many pieces are
of softwoods and elegantly display their history through wonderful wood
tones and graceful wear and tear. Restoration is kept to an
absolute minimum to preserve the originality of the pieces.
Other furniture
Sofas,
armchairs, loveseats, and dining chairs with cushions are from Busatti
in Tuscany. They are traditionally made furniture with beautiful
60% linen/40% cotton fabrics. Frances Mayes in her book "Under the
Tuscan Sun raves" about their fabrics and furniture and now furnishes her
home in Tuscany with these pieces. Busatti also supplies the
British Royal family with many of their linens. The family founded
their business in 1842. |
